Welcome to the website of the Piano Repertoire Project!

This is a research project that aims to document much of the newest repertoire for solo piano as part of a Northwestern University doctoral thesis. The specific goal is the creation of a reference guide to solo piano music written by composers born since 1970. Such a guide would serve as an invaluable resource for pianists looking for new works, as well as a networking tool for composers.

In order to be as comprehensive as possible, we've created this site to aid in the collection of information. While standard research into the world of new music will yield some exciting finds, it will no doubt leave a lot of music out. We realize that in order to truly discover the breadth of this repertoire, we need to issue a call for scores and let composers themselves participate.

Please see the Call for Scores and the FAQ pages for more information about what this project is and what it will encompass. If you're a qualifying composer, this site will let you create a login and participate in the project online by sending us information about yourself and your music. You can also participate without creating a login by downloading the forms as PDFs and mailing them to us.

Thanks for visiting. We look forward to hearing from you!

We are no longer collecting scores through this site. Please e-mail if you would like to participate.
